Rustic Dining Tabular Array Planter Box

Ever since I built the rolling storage box for my son's Lego's I've wanted to cook some other box for our dining room table.   It's been completly bare as well as begging for attending ever since putting away the Christmas decor.   Influenza A virus subtype H5N1 rustic planter box seemed to last the perfect solution to brighten upwards the tabular array as well as pick out a touching on of Spring to the space.   

 

There are a ton of unlike ways to cook a planter box, but I chose to cook mine using a slice of 1x6 as well as 1x4.  

I used the 1x6 for the bottom as well as the 1x4 for the sides of the box.  I attached the boards to each other using woods glue, clamped them into identify until the mucilage was dry out thus reinforced them amongst a few screws.

As always, I stained the box amongst my favorite Minwax Jacobean stain, gave it a few lite coats of pigment thus sanded it for a distressed look.  (more detailed instructions, here) 

I too added a few handles that I picked upwards from Home Depot for close $2.00 a piece.

                             

For the within of the box, I slipped minor pieces of floral foam into painted stonemason jars as well as added a few Spring stems. 

There are thus many corking uses for this box as well as I tin sack almost bet you lot it volition last traveling to a greater extent than or less our home.  How cute would it last filled amongst utensils for a political party or for storing kids fine art supplies?
