If you lot are a regular hither or on my Facebook Page, you lot know I had taken a saccharide sabbatical for vi months from 1st June to 30th Nov 2011. H5N1 lot of people have/had a lot of questions close my this action. So hither I am giving the run-down on all the why's together with how's, 'coz for most parts I am a overnice someone together with value my readers' requests together with questions ... for most parts! ;) 


Sugar Sabbatical

Why? 
Two reasons:

1. I was going to move inwards Republic of Republic of India for the consummate calendar month of June (2011) together with yesteryear experience I knew that I would move od'ing on all the Indian sweets thence decided to accept the pledge to avoid the damage. You know I operate difficult on my trunk then it hurts me literally (in my heart!) when it all goes downwards the drain. 

2. Earlier this year, I closed to how became addicted to having closed to shape of chocolate on daily basis. Like I had to get got a KitKat or a cookie or a cake every.single.night else I wouldn't acquire sleep! I hubby had to ration my chocolate intake together with cover all-things-sweets earlier going to work! So I had to accept closed to drastic steps to intermission that habit. I create non similar beingness addicted to anything. I repeat, anything! I am a super adult woman together with I tin create anything! 

How?
I took the conclusion to quit quite spontaneously former inwards May! I didn't mean value much close it prior to taking the giant step! Once the D Day arrived I started educating myself. Obvious things to avoid were chocolates, cookies, cakes, candies, bottled beverages, etc. (you acquire the idea). Slowly I learnt that a most of the pre-packaged nutrient items similar chips, breads, canned foods, etc. all get got added saccharide inwards them. 

Within the starting fourth dimension calendar week I had the clear persuasion of what all I could not eat whatever to a greater extent than together with the respond was pretty unproblematic - ANYTHING WHICH IS NOT NATURALLY SWEET! 

What?

Breakfast was the hardest repast to create create equally I realized that most of the options had added-sugar (yogurts, poly peptide bars, cereal, etc.). I chose Muesli for most times, which tastes similar cardboard then I added raisins to add together closed to sweetness. All the other meals were easier amongst the pick of lots of veggies. 

1st Dec. 2011
We were celebrating my sister-in-law's Bachelorette Party on 30th November, then equally presently equally the clock turned 12 midnight, she nudged to intermission my sabbatical on her exceptional solar daytime amongst a spell of chocolate cake together with of course of report at that topographic point was no interrogation of turning her down. However, later having it I felt quite ill inwards my tummy together with didn't experience I was missing out of anything (though everyone else seemed to relish the cake a lot!). Now what?
Oh well!
  • I am trying to rest on track.

  • I create non "need" chocolate whatever more. 
  • I acquire satisfied inwards small-scale portions of everything.
  • I promise to maintain the 'added sugar' to the minimum inwards my meals
  • And move along on my path of ultimate fitness!
